Log a session in seconds
Add a pumping session with its amount from the app, right next to nursing and bottle entries.
Log each pumping session with the amount you pumped. Ella charts your sessions and pumped milk separately, so they never get mixed up with feeds.

Add a pumping session with its amount from the app, right next to nursing and bottle entries.
Pumped milk is charted on its own, so bottle totals show what the baby took and pumping shows what you pumped.
Charts show pumping sessions per day and the average amount per session.
Your partner sees when you last pumped, which helps plan the next bottle together.
If you pump to build a stash, go back to work or share night feeds, it helps to see how many sessions you did and how much each one gave. A pumping log turns scattered notes into a simple picture of your days.
In Ella, pumped milk is its own entry and its own chart. When the baby drinks that milk from a bottle, the bottle is logged as a feed. That way the feeding numbers show what the baby took, and the pumping numbers show what you pumped, and neither is counted twice.
Ella shows the sessions and amounts you logged, with totals and the average per session. It never estimates supply or tells you what to expect. If you have questions about supply, a lactation consultant is the right person to ask.

After you pump, open More activities, choose Pumping and enter the amount. It takes a few seconds, and it is saved even without a connection.
If you pump to prepare for going back to work, the pumping chart shows how many sessions you did each day and how much they gave. When a bottle of that milk is used, log it as a bottle.
The journal and the 24-hour view show pumping next to feeds, sleep and diapers, so you can see how sessions fit around the baby. A partner can see when you last pumped without asking.
If you pump at set times, the journal shows each session in place during the day, next to feeds and naps, so you can plan around them.
When all of the baby's milk is pumped, the pumping chart shows what you pumped and the bottle chart shows what the baby took, side by side and never mixed.
The printable pumping log has the same columns as the app entry. Start on paper if you like, and move to Ella when you want totals and charts done for you.
Morning: nursing, then a short pumping session. Midday at work: two sessions logged from the phone. Evening: a partner gives a bottle of that milk. Each step sits in the same journal, in order.
